Rv Ceiling Carpet Stain

Water stains that appear on the ceiling of an rv are cause for concern. This works and is amazing. The appearance of a water stain is usually the first sign of a roof leak or a faulty seal. The fabric ceilings when they get moisture pull the coloring from the wood backing to the fabric and leave water rings.

If the stains are not gone repeat the process. While the stain does not cause any harm it is unsightly. In most cases this will eliminate the stains. There are stains from water damage rain mud food pets and let s not forget to mention kids.

In the morning vacuum off the residue. Sometimes you don t notice a water leak until you see a stain ring on the edge of your ceiling. Bought an oil based primer and it took me 4 hours to thoroughly cover 4 sq ft of this stuff. I ve dealt with my fair share of carpet but this is the first rv i have renovated with a carpeted ceiling.

We especially hate carpet on the ceiling and whatever the manufacturer wants to call it to us it is thin fuzzy carpet on the ceiling. Let it sit there overnight. Also with condensation you may get a 6 12 ring on the edge between the wall and ceiling. The problem is carpet doesn t wear well especially when exposed to the kind of abuse an rv gets over time.

Once the leak has been sealed and the ceiling and or drapes are dry spray some woolite oxydeep for carpet and upholstery on the ceiling and curtain stains.
